What is your name?
What is your dream role? Why?
I my dream is to originate a role in a piece that incorporates modern dance, spoken word, and a dash of R&B.
What was your first big performance opportunity? Tell us about it.
I did the regional premier of 26 Miles by Quiara Alegría Hudes (the book writer for In The Heights) at Kitchen Dog Theatre in Dallas, TX. I was 17 and still in high school so the professional experience was a huge and valuable adjustment.
What is your go-to audition outfit? Why?
I'm honestly a dress pants girl. I love to feel grounded and powerful.
What role are you completely inappropriate for that you perform superbly in your shower and car?
Pierre from Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812
Favorite dance shoe?
Do you have any sort of ritual before an audition?
I always take an early morning yoga class for my mind and body as well as repeating my mantra: "You are enough.".
Where did you train in theatre? How has that affected you?
New York University: Tisch School of the Arts. I trained in the Musical Theatre studio as well as a year in the Film & Television acting program. I feel like I have a wide variety of training which has made me a versatile actor.
Funny Girl, because it was the first musical I ever came in contact with.
Favorite straight play?
Tigers Be Still by Kim Rosenstock. The female characters are constantly working at keeping themselves together while the world around them falls apart. It's fascinating and riveting.
The Second Circle by Patsy Rodenburg.
Do you have any performers that you admire or look up to? Why?
Cate Blanchett because she has transcended the boundaries between film & stage.
Who is your favorite non-theatre music artist?
What keeps you sane offstage?
Meditation, Coffee, and a community of people outside of acting.
