What is your name?

What is your dream role? Why?

Mama Rose. She is fearless and funny and mean and complicated. She also has awesome songs.

What is the MOST special of all of your special skills?

I'm a very good improviser.

What was your first big performance opportunity? Tell us about it.

In college I got hired to do a melodrama in Colorado. It was a 90 show run. It wasn't glamorous or anything but it was the first time I tested my love of theatre and being a working actor and made me feel so lucky to be paid for the thing I loved most.

What is your go-to audition outfit? Why?

Jeans, a nice blouse, and heeled booties or nice flats depending on movement needs. I used to wear dresses and heels and a casting director told me I already come off and little uptight and dressing for church wasn't helping me.

What role are you completely inappropriate for that you perform superbly in your shower and car?

Eva from "Bring it On".

Favorite dance shoe?

I'm not much of a dancer.

Do you have any sort of ritual before an audition?

I try to have a fun plan before or after, something that reminds me that I have a big life with or without the thing I'm auditioning for.

Where did you train in theatre? How has that affected you?

The University of Arizona. I wish I had trained closer to NY because I think it would have been a better way to learn the business and make connections before moving here. I think it was good though to train somewhere far from my home so I wasn't as freaked out making a big move to the city.

Favorite musical?

Into the Woods. I dream of playing every single female role and it is the most complete and satisfying musical to me.

Favorite straight play?

Cyrano. It's so heartbreaking but so funny and smart.

Favorite book?

The Night Circus.

Do you have any performers that you admire or look up to? Why?

Patti LuPone for her discipline. Audra McDonald for her talent. Wendi McLendon-Covey for her comedic genius.

Who is your favorite non-theatre music artist?

Lady Gaga. Her voice is gorgeous.

What keeps you sane offstage?

Knowing I'll get back on ;). Also yoga.

Worst thing about auditioning?

The nerves. Also not getting the job.

Theatre is:

One of the many performance mediums I love.
