What is your name?
What is your dream role? Why?
Jean Valjean (Les Miserables)
What's your MOST special skill?
What was your first big performance opportunity? Tell us about it.
My first professional role was Jud Fry in Oklahoma! at Grandstreet Theatre in Helena, Montana. To this day, that role was one of my favorite theatrical experiences and everything about the company and the people involved were absolutely wonderful. I am very grateful to have that as the gig that started it all.
What role are you completely inappropriate for that you perform superbly in your shower and car?
I personally think I perform a fantastic Wednesday Addams.
Favorite dance shoe?
Do you have any sort of ritual before an audition?
I give a short prayer of thanks.
Where did you train in theatre? How has that affected you?
Western Illinois University. It affected me immensely. I learned almost everything I know about the craft and the business itself from my three years there.
Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party. It is so dark and gritty and covers content you don't see often, but done through a very artistic approach.
Favorite straight play?
She Kills Monsters. It is such a fun script with some truly beautiful and touching moments. Not to mention- I'm a big nerd and the fact that it's about D&D is pretty amazing if you ask me.
Don't have one, unfortunately.
Do you have any performers that you admire or look up to? Why?
Who is your favorite non-theatre music artist?
What keeps you sane offstage?
YouTube. Weightlifting. Movies/Video Games. Socializing
Worst thing about auditioning?
Not being able to truly show the best you can do because of the short time AND that the material is pulled out of context.
my one true love.
